Keynote and Motivational Speaker ● Emcee/Facilitator ● Consultant ● Author
Like you, work/life balance expert and author Sharon Weinstein has worked long hours and ignored the stressors that affect our relationships, family, job, productivity, outputs, and health. Is balance within the reach of a select few, or are we all eligible for this gift?
With over three decades of global healthcare experience, speaking, and firsthand business experience, Sharon knows what causes physical and emotional stress; she shares that balance is a lifestyle choice and not about the latest fads, ads, or promotions. Balance is for everyone, every day. It’s how we should live our lives.
Sharon, often referred to as a Stressbuster for her ability to identify stressors and solutions, is recognized globally for her work with organizations that want to learn how life balance can drive safety, satisfaction, and success! An Emcee/Facilitator, Sharon will research your audience’s norms to customize content and references throughout the program. As a virtual emcee, she’ll visit breakout rooms/roundtables to secure nuggets that can be shared from the main stage. As a healthcare professional, she spent her career on-call. Now, she’s on-call to fill in for presenters who are not able to present on short notice due to illness, technology challenges, or travel. She goes far beyond the basics, offering humor and interaction. With Sharon, you are partnering with an Emcee who can fulfill the role, handle disruption, and make you, as the meeting planner, shine!
She directed the Office of International Affairs for the hospital alliance, Premier Inc., for over 10 years. She holds the coveted Certified Speaking Professional (CSP®) designation, the highest earned international recognition for professional speakers. Less than 17 percent of the more than 5,000 speakers worldwide, who belong to the 14-member associations of the Global Speakers Federation (GSF) hold this credential. Sharon is Chair of NSA’s Certification Committee, 2019-2022. She is a Certified Virtual Presenter.
Author of the award-winning, B is for Balance, 2nd edition, 12 steps toward a more balanced life at home and at work; her work has been shared with participants across the country and around the globe. Companies such as Premier, AIHA, Meritus Health, BD, Kellogg Alumni, George Washington University Hospital, OR Managers, BMO Harris Bank, Medline Industries, Cognizant, Genesis Health, Goodwin House, Central Clinical Hospital (Moscow), Baptist Health System, Purdue Global University, and CHI-TX have partnered with Sharon when they want a balanced workforce, greater productivity, and service excellence. Prior to her commitment to work/life balance, Sharon, a registered nurse by education and passion, worked 100 hours per week, 3 countries per week until she missed a family event because of a flight delay in Eastern Europe. The plane had contraband onboard, and the delay extended for 4 days. Sharon realized that she needed to shift her paradigm and ‘get a life.’ And that’s exactly what she did!
She is a graduate of the Kellogg Executive Management Program and a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. Sharon is faculty at the University of Illinois, Chicago, Past President of NSA-DC and the Infusion Nurses Society, founder of the Global Education Development Institute, and member of the professional advisory board for Purdue University Global. She is a Nursing Expert and Co-Chief Judge, Academy of Judges for the Sharecare Awards.
She has conquered the balancing act, and lives and works stress-free!
